How To

Each week in the Doc|Club you will watch a clip (no more that 20 minutes) of a pre-selected documentary. Your task following this viewing is to write a reflection of what you have seen and your response to what you have learnt in the form of a blog post on your blog. At the end of each month we will discuss the documentary in collboration with our partner school.

This page aims to help you understand the information and layout of your responses for your weekly blog.

Setting out your blog enteries

Title: The title of your blog post should include the name of the documentary viewed as well as the viewing date (e.g. Food Inc., - 29.08.2014)

Synopsis: What is the principal subject of this documentary? What is its principal purpose? Does it argue for a position? Does it critique a position? What kind of impact does it seek to achieve.

Personal Reflection (Prior Position): What did you know about this topic before watching the documentary? What were your opinions about this issues before?

Personal Reflection (Post Viewing): What are you taking away with you from watching this documentary? What questions would you like to ask following watching this documentary? (What other information would you need to have to answer these questions?!) How have your opinons changed (if at all)?

How will your blogs be marked?
